“The populace in Bengal again saw a flash of Pakistan in Kolkata heartland on 29th Oct. ’09 evening, behind the Chittaranjan National Medical College and hospital at a distance of few furlong crossing the railway lines from there. Through Ram Mohan Bera Lane (Kolkata-700 046), the procession of Jagadhatri Goddess of local ‘Bipul Sangha’ Club was heading for its emersion ceremony. When it was passing by a small mosque there named ‘Madrasha Arabia Jamaetul Ulema’, the insiders from the mosque came out to protest and stop the mike and band party with the procession. But the processionists did not care to hear such unreasonable claim. For this turmoil the procession was with held for the time being.”
“In the meanwhile the opportunist Muslims announced from the Mosque’s loud speakers that Islam is in danger. They also announced a (fake) attack upon Mosques. Within a moment some 2,000 Muslims gathered there at 10.30pm to attack the procession and a wishful rampage upon Hindus. They broke the mikes and lights of the procession. Moreover they did not spare the chance to attack upon the nearby Hindu temples. The Kali temple by the side of ‘Bipul Sangha’ Club was attacked first. Then the Muslim hoodlums started to enter far areas to attack and loot Hindu temples and houses. The images of Shiva temple and Kali temple of Adhibas Choudhury Lane in Darapar were broken at some 500 meters away from the Mosque. 20-25 Hindu houses were attacked and damaged. 20 Hindus were injured in this startling attack upon uncared and unprepared Hindus. Hindus of the area spent an unsecured and frightened hours in that night.”
“In the very next day on Friday on 30th Oct. more than thousand Muslims gathered near the small Mosques to show the Islamic solidarity in the name of Jumma Namaz there. Generally 40-50 Muslims pay Namaz in each Friday. The outsider Namazis jammed the road to pay Namaz and threatened the local Hindus for severe consequences. The frightened Hindus did not dare to make a diary in the police station, while the actual offenders of Muslim community lodged FIR against seven victimized Hindus in the charge of scuffle and looting.”

DAY 308: GAO ZHISHENG TORTURED, FAMILY REPRESSED! ChinaAid recently received another report from inside sources in China that Gao Zhisheng has been severely beaten by authorities. The report stated his current living condition is worse than death and that Gao is crying daily in pain and desperation. The Chinese government has responded to the increased worldwide pressure for Gao Zhisheng’s release by cutting off communication with two of Gao’s siblings living in China and placing them under police surveillance. In a November 26th interview with Radio Free Asia, Gao’s brother, Gao Zhiyi, stated, “For every question, there are three unknowns. No one knows anything. They won’t talk to us and they won’t meet with us… Even if Gao Zhisheng had committed a terrible crime, his family would still have the right to know what had happened to him!” On Saturday, December 5th, Gao’s older brother (Zhiyi) and sister lost all communication contact when their phone lines were disabled, following the release of the RFA interview. North Korea Freedom Coalition Releases Report on North Korea and the Universal Declaration for Human Rights; Calls for North Koreans to Have Copies of Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Washington, DC (December 8, 2009)…On the eve of the 61st anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the North Korea Freedom Coalition (NKFC) is releasing a report entitled “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and North Korea” and is calling for copies of the Declaration to be made available to the North Korean people.
“When the General Assembly of the United Nation’s adopted this Declaration on December 10, 1948, it cited in the preamble that ‘disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind,’ explained NKFC Chairman, Suzanne Scholte. “This statement is certainly descriptive of what is happening in North Korea every day, and we hope by releasing this report on how North Korea fares under the 30 Articles of this Universal Declaration that it will outrage the conscience of mankind to press for human rights for the citizens of North Korea.”
Rabbi Abraham Cooper of the Simon Wiesenthal Center added, “The Nazi Holocaust and other horrors of World War II were the historic motivation behind the crafting of this declaration in 1948, which was meant to ensure that future generations would never again have to suffer from atrocities that are being committed against the North Korean people.”
The year of 1948 when the Declaration was adopted is especially significant to Korea for that was the year that two separate governments were established for the people of the North and for the people of the South.
Because North Korea is among the most isolated countries in the world and its citizens have no understanding of the concept of ‘human rights’, NKFC is calling for five specific actions to be taken:
1) For UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and other diplomats to make a special effort to make this document known to the people of North Korea as was called for in the Preamble of the Declaration when it was adopted in 1948;
2) For those broadcasting into North Korea to highlight this document and report about its contents;
3) For those launching balloons into North Korea to include this document in future launches;
4) To make copies of the Declaration available at the North Korean defector resettlement facility of Hanawon; and
5) For all people who enjoy these rights to use them to help the North Korean people gain theirs.
Already, Seoul-based Free North Korea Radio has pledged to begin a special program based on the Declaration and include findings from the NKFC report. Fighters for a Free North Korea have pledged to include the Declaration in future balloon launches, while the NKFC is reaching out to the Unification Ministry of South Korea to ensure that the document is available at Hanawon.
Attached is the NKFC’s letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and the NKFC report which cites each of the 30 Articles of the Declaration and how the citizens of North Korea fare in regards to these universally accepted human rights. An excerpt of the report follows below.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and North Korea
Article 1.All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
But in North Korea…
“One’s Songbun (class background) is either good or bad, and detailed records are kept by party cadre and security officials of the degree of goodness or badness of everyone’s songbun. There is really no way to escape one’s songbun.” The favored group constitutes about 25 to 30 percent of the population. “Ranked below them in descending order are forty-seven distinct groups in what must be the most class-differentiated society in the world today….North Korea’s population can be broken down into three main groups, roughly equal in size. The preferred class…is given every advantage; with hard work, individuals in this group can easily rise to the top. The middle 40 percent of the population-the ordinary people-hope for a lucky break…There is no hope, however, of a college education or a profession career. The bottom 30 percent of the population –the ‘undesirables’ are treated like a pariah class; all doors to advancement, the army, the higher schools of education are closed to them.”

Jordan: Father Gets Only 15 Years Prison for “Honor Killing” Murder of Daughter
— AFP: “Man jailed 15 years for honour killing”
— “A Jordanian court sentenced a man to 15 years’ hard labour yesterday after convicting him of killing his daughter for allegedly having sex with her husband before their marriage in 2007.”
— ” ‘The man, in his sixties, knew that his daughter, 25, was involved in an affair with a man, and decided to allow her to marry him,’ a judicial official said.”
— ” ‘But after the wedding he shot her several times. He made sure she was dead, before handing himself in to police and confessing to the crime.’ ”
— “Murder is punishable by death in Jordan but in so-called ‘honour’ cases a court sometimes commutes or reduces sentences, particularly if the victim’s family urges leniency.”
UK: Extremist Group Launches “Jesus4Shariah” Campaign
The British extremist group “Islam4UK” led by Anjem Choudary has a new campaign to promote extremism called “Jesus 4 Shariah.” In this latest campaign, this group that has called for Sharia-based stonings, amputations, suppression of women, and support for Violent Extremist terrorists, seeks to persuade the public that Jesus would be against democracy and would be promoting Islamic Sharia law. Islam4UK plans to schedule a “debate” to prove this point at an unknown location on December 18, 2009 in the United Kingdom.
Among its points, Islam4UK asks:
— “Is the message of Jesus pro-secular democracy or pro-total implementation divine law within society?”
— “Would Jesus stand with the oppressed people in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine or with the oppressive occupiers?”
The purpose of Islam4UK’s December 18 UK event is to provide “the truth of Islam.”
What Islam4UK does not mention in this latest campaign is who and what its organization represents.
In its failed October 2009 campaign for a October 31 rally (that they backed out of), the anti-democracy, anti-freedom, Islam4UK organization also called for an end to “liberalism” in the United Kingdom and demands that “it is time for authority to be turned over to the Muslims.” The Islam4UK group’s leader, Anjem Choudary, has praised the 9/11 attackers, sought funding for “mujaheddin,” called for oppression of women, and sought stoning and amputations to be part of Sharia law in the United Kingdom.
Two months ago, the “Islam4UK” group stated that it planned — “On 31st October 2009, at approximately 1 pm, Muslims will be marching in a spectacular procession in support of Shari’ah law. Never before has such an event taken place in the United Kingdom, as thousands of Muslims plan to take to the heart of the Capital and demand the full implementation of Shari’ah law. Indeed, the British society has suffered extensively from the oppression of democracy and man made law, and the Muslims stand united in saying ‘Enough is enough.’ We have had enough of freedom, and enough of liberalism, it is time for sovereignty to return to the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Almighty Allah (SWT) and it is time for authority to be handed to the Muslims. ”
The Daily Express reported in October that Islam4UK stated “we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture.’ ‘On this day we will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system its members and legislature, and demand the full implementation of Shari’ah in Britain.’ ”
According to the London Evening Standard, the extremist group “Islam4UK” is a spin-off from the previously banned “Al-Muhajiroun” led by exiled leader Omar Bakri Muhammed. Al-Muhajiroun has praised the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Omar Bakri Muhammed who continues to broadcast to extremists in the United Kingdom via the Internet using the Paltalk tool on a nightly basis (9:30 PM – 11:30 PM GMT), as promoted on the “Islam4UK” web site.
Anjem Choudary, the deputy of exiled radical Omar Bakri Muhammed, has been conducting ongoing operations of the “Islam4UK” organization in the United Kingdom.
Choudary praised the 9/11 attackers along with Omar Bakri Muhammed. Choudary has stated that “Violent Extemism is a duty and a struggle and an obligation that lies upon the shoulders of us all. We will not rest until the flag of Allah and the flag of Islam is raised above 10 Downing Street” He has also stated “if you do not fear your home being raided by the Kufar [non-believer] police, you are not enforcing the Sharia.”
As part of his calls for Sharia law in the United Kingdom, Islam4UK’s Anjem Choudary has been reported calling for the enforcement of bukhas on women in the United Kingdom, stating: “Every woman, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, would have to wear a traditional burkha and cover everything apart from her face and hands in public.” Choudary’s calls for Sharia in the United Kingdom have also demanded stoning, stating: “In matters to do with the judicial system and the penal code, one male witness is sufficient to counter the testimony of two females. People who commit adultery would be stoned to death.”

On July 24, 2009, the Daily Mail July 24 reported that: “Exhorting Britain’s 1.8 million Muslims to follow his example, Choudary dreams of seeing the black crescent flag, which is the symbol of his organisation, flying over Downing Street, and a draconian form of sharia law imposed across the UK. He wants alcohol banned, amputations for thieves, and adulterers to be stoned to death.” The Daily Mail report quotes Choudary as praising Sharia-based amputations for thieves, with Choudary stating “It is a deterrent. If you steal, you know you will face having your hands and feet cut off.” In March 2009, Choudary was quoted by numerous news services for threatening homosexuals in the United Kingdom with punishment under Sharia law.
The July 24 Daily Mail report also addressed Anjem Choudary’s “road shows” around the United Kingdom to gain followers for his extremist ideology, including small children. The Sunday Mercury has also reported on Choudary’s efforts to “convert” small children to his beliefs in the United Kingdom. Choudary has created a “summer school” for Sharia to indoctrinate children, according to reports.
The Daily Mail has pointed out that Choudary “has been secretly taped urging his followers to raise money for Islamic fighters in Afghanistan and Iraq, saying this would help them kill the ‘butchers and cowards’ from the U.S. and Britain.”
In March 2009, reports of Choudary’s call for Britons to raise funds for the “mujahdeen” were documented by the London Times and the Daily Telegraph. According to the London Times: “At one point on the tape Choudary says: ‘People [are] looking for a place for their money to go so they can go to the front line and they can’t find it. You should not think to yourself ‘my money, my money’ . . . you have [an] opportunity to carry da’wah [the spread of Islam] to society . . . and you have money that can go towards the da’wah, you have money that can go towards the mujaheddin.’ ”
The anti-democracy, anti-freedom “Islam4UK” group led by Anjem Choudary uses the black flag of the extremist caliphate (khalifah) in the logo of its web site.

December 10, 1948 was an important date in the history of humanity. On that day, the nations of the world came together amidst the global crimes against humanity during World War II, and were determined to create an international declaration of our most basic rights as human beings to be respected by the nations of the world – universally. Their efforts became known as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
In many ways, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was the world’s way of saying “Never Again.” Those who would stand defiant against the forces of apathy, hate, and hopelessness to defend humanity’s most basic rights as human beings took courage in this international declaration. As the years went by, other declarations of human courage continued around the world.
“Never Again” was followed by “Ich bin ein Berliner,” then “I Have A Dream,” then “There is No Such Thing as Part Freedom.” From person to person, from city to city, from nation to nation, there has been a continuing march for human freedom. In every step, the advocates for human equality and liberty share a common message to those who would deny such human rights – “We Shall Overcome.”
The true context of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is not just about the times in which it was created, but by the human beings that have dared to stand for it.
They are the human beings who recognize the truths that we hold self-evident that all men and women are created equal and that all deserve the inalienable human rights of equality and liberty. They are the human beings that understand that we are one race… the human race. They understand there is truly one omni-culture of shared humanity. They understand there is just one home that we all share – where our universal human rights extend to every part of that home – of our planet Earth.
December 10 was designated as “Human Rights Day” by the United Nations in remembrance of the December 10, 1948 adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But not only do we recognize our declaration in support of such universal human rights, but also we remember those who have denied them, including the totalitarian and supremacist nations and ideologies of the world that seek to continue to deny such universal human rights today.
But in challenging those who would deny our universal human rights we do not offer an upraised fist, but instead we offer an outstretched hand from the family of humanity. Our human rights are their human rights. We urge those would use their hatred of others to justify denying their human rights, to drop the burden of hate from their hearts, and join their brothers and sisters in humanity.
