Somalia: Al-Shabaab declares black flag in Somalia

Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) is continuing to track the planned “white nationalist” conference by the American Renaissance group scheduled for February 2010.
According to their web site, the “white nationalist” “hate group” American Renaissance is still reportedly planning to hold a conference somewhere in the Washington DC Virginia suburb near the Dulles airport on the weekend of February 19 through 21st. The American Renaissance group also goes by the name New Century Foundation. American Renaissance is apparently keeping the location of their planned conference a secret, fearing protests by those who would challenge their white supremacist views. Previous American Renaissance conferences have included former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.
American Renaissance claims that they will hold their “9th biennial American Renaissance Conference, to be held February 19 through February 21 in Herndon, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.).” They changed the name of the location from the Dulles Marriott hotel to a “three-diamond hotel” in the Dulles Airport area, stating:
— “The conference will be at a three-diamond hotel very close to the airport, outside Washington, D.C. We will forward you contact information for the hotel after you have registered. Please be sure to ask for the special ‘New Century Foundation’ rate of $79.00 per night. There is no extra charge for double occupancy, so a spouse or friend can stay for free.”
In addition to their efforts to keep their conference location a secret, American Renaissance is also planning to provide pseudonyms for their attendees, stating “please call us if you would like to use a nom de guerre.” “White Nationalist” Jared Taylor is also promoting the upcoming American Renaissance event on VDARE.
In November, R.E.A.L. reported on our discussions with the Dulles Marriott, where conference manager Nancy Majuka (703-471-9500) informed us that while American Renaissance had planned to be at the Dulles Marriott that their event there had been canceled. We spoke to Nancy Majuka again today about this and she reiterated that the group was not holding a conference at the Dulles Marriott, either under their name “American Renaissance” or “New Century Foundation.” We then checked with the Dulles Marriott room reservation center to see if there was a special rate for room under either of those names. One reservation person we spoke with said they had no special rates under either of those group names, another one we spoke with seemed to believe that there had been an “American Renaissance” room rate at one point, but that it was nothing more than the routine weekend rate pricing available to anyone.

Both the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) have background on the racist and white supremacist views of American Renaissance leader Jared Taylor. The SPLC describes both the American Renaissance and the New Century Foundation groups as “white nationalist” “hate groups.” Jared Taylor promotes racial segregation, and as ADL states, “promotes pseudoscientific studies that attempt to demonstrate the intellectual and cultural superiority of whites and publishes articles on the supposed decline of American society because of integrationist social policies.”
Jared Taylor’s New Century Foundation describes itself as “a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1994 to study immigration and race relations so as to better understand the consequences of America’s increasing diversity. It sponsors publications and books, and holds occasional conferences.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center reports on the “New Century Foundation” and “American Renaissance” as follows:
— “Jared Taylor, the man who heads the New Century Foundation and edits its allied magazine American Renaissance, is a white supremacist who celebrates the “clear conception of the United States as a nation ruled by and for whites.” The foundation and magazine, based in Oakton, Va., tirelessly advance pseudo-scientific theories linking IQ to race and advocate eugenics — selective breeding to ‘improve’ human genetic stock.”
— “The foundation also puts on bi-annual conferences; the 2002 event was advertised like this: ‘In all parts of the world, whites are afraid to speak out in their own interests. The costs of ‘diversity,’ racial differences in IQ, the threat of non-white immigration — politicians and the media are afraid to discuss what these things mean for whites and their civilization.’ “
— “Taylor also has noted approvingly that until 1967, ‘strong opposition to mixed marriage was enshrined in law’ in 16 states. In ‘The Myth of Diversity,” Taylor writes that “diversity” has led to civil rights claims by all kinds of groups he doesn’t like. “Anyone who opposes the glorification of the alien, the subnormal, and the inferior can be denounced,’ he complains. ‘The metastasis of diversity is a fascinating story, but the disease began with race.’ “
— “After 300 pages of attacking blacks and dismissing white racism, Taylor’s 1992 book Paved With Good Intentions: The Failure of Race Relations in Contemporary America notes that most Americans would not agree to use sterilization or forced abortion on those whom the society considers less fit. His solution? Make ‘welfare mothers’ accept a ‘five-year implantable contraceptive.’ “
— “Taylor is allied with Wayne Lutton, whom he thanks in his book and who is the editor of The Social Contract, a journal published by John Tanton’s The Social Contract Press*. Taylor, Lutton and Richard Lynn are on the editorial board of The Occidental Quarterly, a journal where Sam Francis, top editor for the racist Council of Conservative Citizens*, serves as book review editor. The Occidental Quarterly’s first issue featured a story by the late Keith Stimely, who was also an editor of the Journal of Historical Review, a notorious Holocaust denial publication.”
White nationalist Jared Taylor, who is also promoted by VDARE, was a key speaker at the 2009 Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC) national convention. (R.E.A.L. held a protest at a VDARE event in Baltimore, Maryland in October 2009, and at a VDARE event in McLean, Virginia in June 2009.) Jared Taylor has also blamed the 9/11 attacks on America as well, spreading hate after the 9/11 attacks stating “If we go to war, it will not be because we are the land of freedom and opportunity, but because we are the best friend and benefactor of Israel… If we fight Israel’s enemies, the United States will become like Israel: a garrison state and battleground.”
In addition to “white nationalist” Jared Taylor, other speakers scheduled to appear at the February 19-21 American Renaissance/New Century Foundation conference in Virginia include:
— Nick Griffin, leader of the racist British National Party, who has appeared at America white supremacist events, and has a history of Holocaust denial, calling the Holocaust the “Holohoax.” Griffin has been photographed with former KKK leader David Duke; the white supremacist event that Griffin was also attended by U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum terrorist Von Brunn (praised by VDARE as “an intelligent man”). Nick Griffin also has praised the racial segregationist views of the Nation of Islam’s Louis Farrakhan.

— Craig Bodeker – creator of film “A Conversation about Race” which argues that racism is merely a concern to suppress whites, and who reportedly has a history of slurs against blacks and others
— University of Delaware’s Raymond Wolters – author of “The Burden of Brown,” which argues against school desegregation ress whites, and who has told VDARE about his views of the natural IQ limitations of blacks.
— Wayne Lutton – who ADL states that “Lutton is a director on the board of the Charles Martel Society, which publishes the racist Occidental Quarterly (OQ) journal and the anti-Semitic Occidental Observer online magazine“

We support our unqualified, universal human rights for all. We urge white supremacist and “white nationalist” supporters to drop the burden of the hate of supremacism from their hearts, and to rejoin the family of humanity in support of our universal human rights.

At the still-planned American Renaissance “white nationalist” hate group conference in February in the Washington DC suburb near Dulles Airport in Virginia, one of their scheduled speakers is South African Dan Roodt, who leads a group called PRAAG.
Dan Roodt has published essays in the American Renaissance publications in May and June 2004, titled “Afrikaner Survival Under Black Rule.”
Dan Roodt has sought to defy reports on continuing racial problems in South Africa based on the denial of some white South Africans on the problems of apartheid (as described a report by Christi van der Westhuizen). In April 2008, BBC reported that “Christi van der Westhuizen, author of ‘White Power and the Rise and Fall of the National Party,’ agrees that a refusal by whites to acknowledge the impact of Apartheid on black South Africans is largely responsible for the current racial tensions.”
In an article (in Afrikaans that we have translated to English), American Renaissance conference speaker Dan Roodt states how “[o]ne can be sure each one of Van der Westhuizen’s statements about how bad apartheid was with statistics and other historical data [can be] refuted.” We wonder if Dan Roodt will use the Dulles Marriott American Renaissance/New Century Foundation conference for further defense of white supremacist apartheid.

British Muslims for Secular Democracy (BMSD) states that it will counter the planned march by anti-democratic group Islam4UK in Wooton Bassett:
“British Muslims for Secular Democracy (BMSD) is alarmed and disappointed to learn that the extremist group Al Muhajiroun, in the guise of ‘Islam4UK,’ are planning to hold a procession through the streets of Wootton Bassett. This choice of venue is deliberate and designed to cause maximum offence and distress — particularly to the friends and families of fallen servicemen.”
“The vast majority of British Muslims — irrespective of their diverse views on particular armed conflicts — recognise that British soldiers continue to serve admirably in difficult circumstances, to make our country safer for all.”
“We deplore the politicisation of Wootton Bassett by reactionary political leaders, including Nick Griffin’s attempt to hijack a homecoming service last year to promote the BNP. We equally oppose this stunt by ‘Islam4UK,’ a group which organised a ‘Magnificent 19’ Conference in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 to praise the suicide murderers.”
BMSD will therefore write to “Islam4UK” later this week, urging them to cancel their protest and respect both the neutrality and military tradition of Wootton Bassett. In the event that ‘Islam4UK’ decides to proceed with its demonstration, BMSD plans to arrange a counter-protest along with a broad coalition of our partners.”

The Local reports: “No suspects in attack against Malmo mosque”
“As of New Year‘s Eve evening, police had no suspects for an attack against a mosque in Malmö earlier in the day when shots had been fired through the window of the building.”
“Nobody was seriously injured during the incident. The imam was taken to hospital to treat minor cuts from glass splinters, but he was not struck by a bullet. He was allowed to leave the hospital after his cuts were bandaged.”
“Around five people, including the imam, were in an office following the evening prayers. ”
” ‘The imam was sitting in front of the computer when (we heard) a bang. At first I thought there had been an explosion,’ one of the witnesses told Sydsvenskan newspaper.”
The United Kingdom’s anti-democracy, extremist group “Islam4UK” has made yet another wild claim of a plan to hold a public event, this time a plan for a “march” in Wiltshire’s Wootton Bassett, where dead UK soldiers’ bodies are “repatriated.” As the Scottish Sun reports, “The bodies of most of the British troops killed in Afghanistan have been driven through the town near Swindon, Wilts, in repatriation ceremonies after being flown home. ” The London Telegraph reports that Islam4UK’s Anjem Choudary also plans to harass the parents of dead British soldiers by writing them letters with his view of “the reality of what they died for.”
The extremist “Islam4UK” group, which describes itself as “a platform for the global front Al-Muhajiroun,” has called for Sharia-based stonings, amputations, suppression of women, and support for Violent Extremist terrorists, is led by Anjem Choudary who has praised the 9/11 attackers, and has called for an end to freedom and democracy.
Notably, Islam4UK has repeatedly failed in its announced plans to hold such events. In October 2009, it claimed that it would hold an October 31, 2009 march in London calling for an end to freedom and democracy to be replaced by extremist Sharia — it canceled that march. In December 2009, it claimed that it would hold an event challenging Christians called “Jesus4Shariah” for December 18, 2009 — that it later “postponed.” The Daily Telegraph reported that a local politician was skeptical that the local police would grant Islam4UK permission to march.
In its latest claim for an “event,” Islam4UK claims that
— “Islam4UK, a platform for the global front Al-Muhajiroun, would like to announce the launch of a momentous march that is scheduled to take place in the following weeks, details of which will be released shortly inshaa’allah (God willing). The destination of this very special event is the small market town of Wootton Bassett, located 6 miles Southwest of Swindon, in northern Wiltshire; Wootton Bassett, is currently famous for its public mourning processions held in memory of British soldiers killed whilst on military service in Afghanistan; coffins containing the dismembered bodies of these soldiers are usually draped in union jack flags and driven through the town centre from RAF Lyneham, as a tribute to their ‘sacrifice’. The proposed march by members of Islam4UK is however of a very different venture, held not in memory of the occupying and merciless British military, but rather the real war dead who have been shunned by the Western media and general public as they were and continue to be horrifically murdered in the name of Democracy and Freedom – the innocent Muslim men, women and children. It is quite extraordinary, that with well over 100,000 Muslims killed in Afghanistan in the last 8 years that those military serviceman who have directly or indirectly contributed to their death are paraded as war heroes and moreover honoured for what is ultimately genocide. We at Islam4UK find this totally unacceptable and as a result have decided to launch the ‘Wootton Bassett March’ to highlight the real casualties of this brutal Crusade.”
Choudary’s Islam4UK, not unlike other extremist groups as Hizb ut-Tahrir, consistently use propaganda to shift the blame of extremist Taliban and other groups consistent and wanton murder of other Muslims onto others. Islam4UK will not march against the Afghanistan extremist Taliban murdering Muslims, including the recent report of 6 Afghan men beheaded by the Taliban. The Muslim “war dead” from extremists will never be challenged by Islam4UK propagandists.

The Daily Express reported in October that Islam4UK stated “we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture.’ ‘On this day we will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system its members and legislature, and demand the full implementation of Shari’ah in Britain.’ ”
According to the London Evening Standard, the extremist group “Islam4UK” is a spin-off from the previously banned “Al-Muhajiroun” led by exiled leader Omar Bakri Muhammed. Al-Muhajiroun has praised the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Omar Bakri Muhammed who continues to broadcast to extremists in the United Kingdom via the Internet using the Paltalk tool on a nightly basis (9:30 PM – 11:30 PM GMT), as promoted on the “Islam4UK” web site.
Anjem Choudary, the deputy of exiled radical Omar Bakri Muhammed, has been conducting ongoing operations of the “Islam4UK” organization in the United Kingdom.
Choudary praised the 9/11 attackers along with Omar Bakri Muhammed. Choudary has stated that “Violent Extemism is a duty and a struggle and an obligation that lies upon the shoulders of us all. We will not rest until the flag of Allah and the flag of Islam is raised above 10 Downing Street” He has also stated “if you do not fear your home being raided by the Kufar [non-believer] police, you are not enforcing the Sharia.”
As part of his calls for Sharia law in the United Kingdom, Islam4UK’s Anjem Choudary has been reported calling for the enforcement of bukhas on women in the United Kingdom, stating: “Every woman, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, would have to wear a traditional burkha and cover everything apart from her face and hands in public.” Choudary’s calls for Sharia in the United Kingdom have also demanded stoning, stating: “In matters to do with the judicial system and the penal code, one male witness is sufficient to counter the testimony of two females. People who commit adultery would be stoned to death.”
On July 24, 2009, the Daily Mail July 24 reported that: “Exhorting Britain’s 1.8 million Muslims to follow his example, Choudary dreams of seeing the black crescent flag, which is the symbol of his organisation, flying over Downing Street, and a draconian form of sharia law imposed across the UK. He wants alcohol banned, amputations for thieves, and adulterers to be stoned to death.” The Daily Mail report quotes Choudary as praising Sharia-based amputations for thieves, with Choudary stating “It is a deterrent. The July 24 Daily Mail report also addressed Anjem Choudary’s “road shows” around the United Kingdom to gain followers for his extremist ideology, including small children. The Sunday Mercury has also reported on Choudary’s efforts to “convert” small children to his beliefs in the United Kingdom. Choudary has created a “summer school” for Sharia to indoctrinate children, according to reports.
The Daily Mail has pointed out that Choudary “has been secretly taped urging his followers to raise money for Islamic fighters in Afghanistan and Iraq, saying this would help them kill the ‘butchers and cowards’ from the U.S. and Britain.”
In March 2009, reports of Choudary’s call for Britons to raise funds for the “mujahdeen” were documented by the London Times and the Daily Telegraph. According to the London Times: “At one point on the tape Choudary says: ‘People [are] looking for a place for their money to go so they can go to the front line and they can’t find it. You should not think to yourself ‘my money, my money’ . . . you have [an] opportunity to carry da’wah [the spread of Islam] to society . . . and you have money that can go towards the da’wah, you have money that can go towards the mujaheddin.’ ”
