Oregon: Terrorist Group Takes Over U.S. Buildings at Gunpoint, Threaten to Kill

In the remote eastern Oregon suburb of Burns, Oregon, a terrorist group, led by extremists Bundy brothers Ryan Bundy and Ammon Bundy, has taken over U.S. federal government buildings in Oregon, and are holding them by gunpoint. The Bundy-led terrorist group seized the U.S. federal government buildings on January 2, 2016, while they were closed for the New Year’s holiday. Public calls for the Bundy terrorist group to surrender to the authorities have been ignored. One terrorist in the group, Ryan Bundy, told Oregonian reporter Ian Kullgren that were willing to kill other Americans.

Ian Kullgren reported on January 3, 2016 regarding the terrorist group which has taken over the U.S. federal government building in Oregon: “I talked to Ryan Bundy on the phone again. He said they’re willing to kill and be killed if necessary.”

Another one of the terrorists, calling himself “Captain Moroni,” told another reporter that he came to take over the U.S. federal government building to die as part of a suicide terrorist attack, stating “I came here to die.” Among the terrorist extremists, there are those claiming to use the attack to promote an extremist view of Mormonism. R.E.A.L. has reached out to and urged the Church of Latter Day Saints to make a statement denouncing these extremist terrorists, which have taken over U.S. government facilities in Oregon. UPDATE: R.E.A.L. has learned the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the following statement: “While the disagreement occurring in Oregon about the use of federal lands is not a Church matter, Church leaders strongly condemn the armed seizure of the facility and are deeply troubled by the reports that those who have seized the facility suggest that they are doing so based on scriptural principles. This armed occupation can in no way be justified on a scriptural basis. We are privileged to live in a nation where conflicts with government or private groups can – and should – be settled using peaceful means, according to the laws of the land.”

One of the Bundy brother terrorist leaders, Ammon Bundy, stated that the armed terrorists planned to occupy the U.S. government facility for years. In a report to the Oregonian, Ammon Bundy stated: “We’re planning on staying here for years, absolutely… This is not a decision we’ve made at the last minute.”

The terrorist group initially stated that they have as many as 150 armed terrorist supporters at the Oregon wildlife refuge compound that they have taken over. Later reports by the media has indicated the terror gang at the Oregon facility is more like 20 individuals.

The Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward stated that the Bundy-led group’s efforts are an “attempt to over throw the county and federal government in hopes to spark a movement across the United States.”

The Harney County Government stated that the Harney County Court House will be closed for security reasons Monday January 4, 2016. Oregon Live reported that schools would be closed in the area this week due to the security issue.

The terrorist group began with what they called a “peaceful protest” at the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, regarding policies of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM), which is a part of the U.S. Department of the Interior, and the arrest of two Oregon Harney County ranchers for a 2012 case of arson. The two Harney County ranchers, Dwight Hammond Jr. and his son Steven Hammond, were convicted, served time, and reporting for additional jail sentences. The Hammond family reportedly has rejected the terrorist activities of the Bundy-led terrorist group. “Neither Ammon Bundy nor anyone within his group/organization speak for the Hammond Family,” the Hammonds’ lawyer W. Alan Schroeder wrote to Sheriff David Ward.

Many among the Oregon public have rejected and renounced the actions of the Bundy-led terrorist group. AP reports that local residents fear being targets of the extremist group. While the public and Oregonians are also angry with the Bundy-led terrorist group, law enforcement has specifically asked the public not to confront the terrorists.

After the initial “protest” in front of the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, terrorist leaders broke away from the protest and drove off to an area south of Burns to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, which they took over the U.S. government facility at gunpoint, and blocked the access road. Local news media believe that the terrorist plot to take over the U.S. federal government facility had “been planned for some time.”

The terrorist group took over the refuge headquarters at gunpoint of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, south of Burns, which is operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which includes the main office, a museum, and homes. The terrorists have also stationed armed extremists within the wildlife center’s watchtower to watch for law enforcement response to their crimes. In addition to this facility, the Oregonian reports that the Bundy-led terrorist group was also planning to take over another U.S. government facility at a wildland fire station near the town of Frenchglen, Oregon, which is approximately 40 miles south of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The Oregonian reports that “The U.S. Bureau of Land Management posts crews there during the fire season.”

The Bundy-led terrorist group is known to consist of Ryan Bundy, Ammon Bundy, Ryan Payne (U.S. Army veteran from Montana), Blaine Cooper (from Arizona who was involved in Quran burnings to incite violence), Jon Ritzheimer (who has led groups with automatic weapons to threaten Muslims outside of Arizona mosques), and LaVoy Finicum (described by critics as an “anarchist” who views himself as “above the law” and “threatening violence to get what you decided should be yours.”) Similar to other “suicide” type terrorist videos by jihadist extremists, the Oregonian reports that : “[d]ays before the refuge takeover, Ritzheimer posted what struck some as a farewell video to his family,” who he abandoned on Christmas Day to drive to Oregon, as part of the planned terrorist takeover. In terrorist Jon Ritzheimer’s “farewell video,” he condemned the U.S. government as an “oppressive and tyrannical government.”

The Bundy-led terrorist group originally claimed to have over 100 supporters at the Oregon compound under seige, but according to an Oregon Live report on the afternoon of January 4, indicates that in their appeals for more members, they are now stating they have 20 members in their terrorist group at the U.S. government facility they have taken hostage.

The Bundy-led terrorist group continues to have access to the Internet and apparently mobile phones to continue to recruit new members to their terrorist cause, while they are holding the U.S. federal government building hostage. Like the ISIS terrorist group, the Bundy-led terrorists have used Twitter and Facebook as ways to recruit members to support their violent activities, as well as to issue propaganda for their cause. They continue to have such access while committing their terrorist attack. Twitter has not cancelled their accounts, and they continue to publish new propaganda while actively holding U.S. government facilities at gunpoint.

Terrorist Ammon Bundy has been using Twitter on the morning of Monday, January 4, 2016 to promote his agenda and his claims that he has a “Constitutional” right to commit terrorist activities. His followers include supporters of the racist Confederate group, racist “White Resistance,” and various extremists, as well as a reported police officer with the City of Miami Gardens, Florida.

In addition, the Bundy terrorist group is also recruiting for additional support on Facebook using a “Bundy Ranch” account, and there has been no action to cancel their Facebook recruiting page, which provides telephone numbers and means for terrorist supporters to aid and support the violent takeover of U.S. federal government buildings. Facebook is continuing to be used by this group for active recruitment of an armed, violent takeover of U.S. Government facilities, at the time of this posting, with no Facebook limitations on their activities.

Oregon Live also reports that the Bundy terrorist group is getting out other appeals on the afternoon of January 4, 2016, for armed and unarmed terrorist supporters to join them. Blaine Cooper and Jon Ritzheimer, who are members of the terrorist group, are using the Internet to make appeals to their extremist followers.

The FBI’s Portland, Oregon office released a statement on January 4, 2016, via Twitter which stated: “The FBI is the lead investigative agency for the situation at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.” “We are working with Harney Cty SO, OSP & other agencies to bring a peaceful resolution to the situation at Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.” “Due to safety considerations we will not be releasing any specifics with regards to the law enforcement response.”

On January 3, 2016, Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward issued a statement on the Bundy-led terrorist efforts: “These men came to Harney County claiming to be part of militia groups supporting local ranchers, when in reality these men had alternative motives to attempt to over throw the county and federal government in hopes to spark a movement across the United States.” “We are currently working jointly with several organizations to make sure the citizens of Harney County are safe and this issue is resolved as quickly and peaceful as possible. At this time we do not have any information that any other areas in Harney County are in immediate danger.” “We ask that people stay away from the refuge for their safety. We also ask that if anyone sees any of these individuals in the area to please contact law enforcement and do not confront the individuals themselves…” Sheriff Dave Ward issued a previous statement which also stated: “A collective effort from multiple agencies is currently working on a solution. For the time being please stay away from that area. More information will be provided as it becomes available. Please maintain a peaceful and united front and allow us to work through this situation.”

Law enforcement authorities asked politicians not to comment on the Bundy-led terrorist effort to avoid inflaming the situation, which was why there had been a considerable silence on January 2 and 3 on this issue from the political community. However, one national politician did criticize a lack of aggressive action as a racial issue. Another national politician made a statement on January 4 calling for the Bundy-led group to “stand down,” because “we don’t have a constitutional right to use force and violence and to threaten force and violence against others.”

Why We Must NEVER Tolerate Terrorism

On September 11, 2001, I was driving near Dulles Airport, in Dulles, Virginia, when the Pentagon got hit by American Airlines Flight 77 hijacked from Dulles Airport. I pulled into my office parking lot, got out of my car, and saw waves of my co-workers racing out of the doors for their cars to flee the area, expecting another plane to crash from out of Dulles Airport. I later drove by the Pentagon, with the smoke pouring out of after the terrorist attack. One of our friends was killed there. I spent 9/11 providing lookout support in defense of a strategic building of critical infrastructure, which had been mostly evacuated, including most of the security.

In November 2001, I looked into the pit where the World Trade Center towers were in New York City. The pit yawned deep into the Earth. The photos people have taken do not truly show the devastation. I refused to take a photograph of such an open grave of my fellow Americans. It was in an area near where a precious relative was going to school. This is why I changed my job to support the Department of Homeland Security after the attacks, to help defend the United States of America. On 9/11, President Obama was in Chicago at an Illinois state meeting. Having where you live attacked by terrorists is completely different than watching it on television somewhere.

The United States has been victims of terrorists over and over. But we have gotten lazy, and come to believe it won’t happen to us anymore. We tell ourselves, everything is an “isolated incident,” and we have nothing to worry about. But most people have no idea how many terrorist plots have been FOILED because of a Zero Tolerance attitude towards terrorist activity, and aggressive law enforcement.

Too many have been DECEIVED by the success of a historic Zero Tolerance and previous aggressive law enforcement attitude on terrorism, well, maybe there just is not a terrorist threat at all. Baloney. Most major U.S. American cities have been targets, including Portland, of course. Vigilance against terrorism and consistency on the LAW is not fear and surrendering our liberties. It is deciding that this nation of free men and women will not live as cowering victims to criminal terrorists. It is deciding that we live by a Rule of Law, and lawless terrorists will NOT be allowed to simply attack, threaten, and kill without our DEFIANCE and CONSEQUENCES.

Today, the Bundy terrorist gang in Oregon is viewed by some as “protesters,” “occupiers,” and now “trespassers.” But the Bundy gang are terrorists in accordance with the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations which defines terrorism as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” [28 C.F.R. Section 0.85 (1) ]. The law is the law.

We have learned, and I have personally seen with my OWN EYES, the consequences of failing to be vigilant against those who seek terrorism against this great nation. We cannot make this mistake again. Too many fellow Americans might pay the price tomorrow for such indifference today.

Pakistan: Major Jamaat ul-Ahrar Terrorist Attack in Mardan

In Pakistan on December 29, 2015, a terrorist suicide bomber killed scores of people at the office of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Mardan. Media reports state that the terrorist was riding a riding an explosive-laden motorcycle, and was stopped by security when he tried to enter the courtyard area of the office area.

The terrorist detonated the bomb on the motorcycle killing one of the security guards, Parvez Shaheed, and impacting the hundreds of people standing in line outside the NADRA building. The police authorities state that the terrorist used 10 kilograms of explosive material in the terrorist bombing.

At the time of this posting, the Pakistan Tribune is reporting that 26 have been killed and 50 injured. The toll may increase due to the severity of the terrorist attack, with some of the injured in critical condition. The Pakistan Tribune reports that “[h]undreds of people were standing in queues to acquire Computerized National Identity Card (CNICs) and other public documents at the time of the attack.”

The terrorist attack clearly killed numerous Muslims in Muslim-majority Pakistan.

The Voice of America reports that a group formerly affiliated with the Taliban, that has now joined with the ISIS terrorist group, has assumed responsibility for the terrorist attack. The Voice of America report states: “Jamaat ul-Ahrar, which is part of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) umbrella militant group and has reportedly joined forces with IS, has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Pakistani officials have consistently denied that IS has a presence in the country. But several recent attacks by IS-affiliates have kindled fears that the militant group has been successful in making inroads into a nation ripe for IS activities. Pakistan’s counterterrorism authorities on Tuesday told VOA that they arrested a group of 13 suspected militants operating a recruiting and training facility for IS in Punjab state.” In March 2015, reports stated that Jamaat ul-Ahar was working with people supportive of the IS group “Islamic State of Khorasan” (ISK). There has continued to be conflicts within the Pakistan Taliban groups in a power struggle for leading terrorist hate. Another report states the VOA has been told by the Pakistan Taliban that they were not associated with the attack.

Prior to this attack, the NADRA had been in the news for a totally different reason. It has also come to R.E.A.L.’s attention that the NADRA had also verified the CNIC of Tashfeen Malik, who was one of the ISIS supporter terrorist in the December 2 terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California.

Ajaccio: Violence Against Firefighters and Mob Attack on Mosque

On the Corsican island of Ajaccio, a group of hooded thugs attacked a group of French firefighters in an ambush on Christmas Day, December 25. As AP reported, “The violence began Thursday night, when firefighters responding to an emergency call were ambushed in Ajaccio, according to the local France 3 television. ”

After the attack on firefighters, Ajaccio community members turned out to protest in support of the injured emergency officers who had been ambushed. However, the extremists among the protest turned the protest into mob of violence, and some in the crowd then went on to attack a local mosque including vandalizing an Islamic prayer room. France 3 reported police reinforcements at other prayer rooms for their protection. France’s interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve, condemned those responsible for hurting police and firefighters in Ajaccio. He said investigators would also look into the vandalism of the prayer room, which he said included attempts to burn Qurans and prayer books.

The Daily Telegraph reported that “They shouted slogans in Corsican meaning ‘Arabs get out!’ or ‘This is our home!’, an AFP correspondent reported. Nearby was the Muslim prayer room and a small group smashed the glass door and entered the place of worship, ransacking the room and partially burning books including copies of the Koran, said regional official Francois Lalanne.
‘Fifty prayer books were thrown out on the street,’ said Mr Lalanne, adding that some of the pages were burnt. The French Council of the Muslim Faith (CFCM) and its monitor of Islamophobia denounced the violence and pointed to the timing of the attack on Friday ‘on a day of prayer for both Muslims and Christians.’ ”

Europe: France, UK, Bosnia Foil Terrorist Plots – with ISIS Links

Terrorist plots foiled across Europe, including France, United Kingdom, and Bosnia, have been announced by authorities. This includes recent terrorist plots, most of which are linked to ISIS, in Orleans and Paris, France, in London, United Kingdom, and in Bosnia. It included plots to attack police and fire stations, to use a false pregnancy bomb for a terrorist woman to hide a bomb, and a plot for terrorist attacks on New Year’s Eve.

In France, two men were arrested for a terrorist plot for an attack in Orleans, France, which was foiled by the French intelligence agency DGSI. The terrorists arrested were reported to be a “French native of Morocco, the other from Togo,” and were in contact with a French contact in Syria. Le Monde reports that the terrorists in France “were preparing a ‘concrete’ project, with terrorist targets of “fire station, police station and gendarmerie in the region Orleans (police source). ” According to Le Monde, the terrorists have been “charged and imprisoned for ‘criminal association in relation with a terrorist enterprise criminal.’ ” The remainder of the English language translation of the Le Monde report can be seen at this link. The French news media L’Express report (translated into English) that ” ‘An attack project to representatives of the security forces in the region of Orleans was foiled last week by ISB,’ said Bernard Cazeneuve in Toulouse Police Hotel, in a speech before the gendarmes and area police forces. The minister said that two French were arrested and charged on December 19. This is the 10th foiled attack since 2013.”

Another French terrorist plot inspired by ISIS was also foiled in Paris, according to French and British news sources. The Guardian reports on December 23, 2015 of a woman arrested by French police “after finding a false pregnancy ‘bump’ that they suspect she may have been planning to use to hide a bomb.” It reports “Investigators say the prefabricated plastic mold found during a search of her flat was covered in aluminium, which they believe was designed to fool bomb detectors.” “The woman, named only as Camille, 23, a Muslim convert and mother of a two-year-old child, was arrested in Montpellier on Monday along with her husband. Investigators told Midi-Libre newspaper that a computer at the flat had been used to search for information about kamikaze women and for instructions on how to manufacture explosives. During questioning the woman reportedly told police she planned to wear the bump in order to shoplift. However, detectives said the woman had recently inherited several thousand euros and had no need to steal.” The French Midi-Libre reports that (translated into English) “She went out only veiled from head to foot, she spent in her apartment described as ‘ascetic’ for hours to view videos of atrocities committed by ISIS.” Midi-Libre also reports that (translated into English) she “downloaded all the issues of Inspire, propaganda magazine Al-Qaeda and Dabiq, the Islamic State magazine. Moreover, she had made the web much research on female suicide bombers, improvised explosive devices. Finally, she told her family that she wanted to win Syria to die a martyr, and had convinced her husband to accompany her.”

Separately, a French terrorist Yassin Salhi supporting ISIS, who was part of the June 2015 ISIS terrorist spree during Ramadan, who beheaded a man, committed suicide in Prison.

In the United Kingdom, a south London terrorist plot was foiled by an arrest of a planned terrorist. The UK Guardian reports on December 23, 2015 that “Armed police have arrested a man at a south London shop over alleged links to terrorism. The suspect, 31, was arrested just after 5pm on Tuesday evening and detained ‘on suspicion of being involved in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.’ The arrest was planned and followed a joint investigation by Scotland Yard’s terrorism command and MI5. Detectives are investigating if the man had links or had been influenced by ISIS as part of their inquiries, and police said the arrest was being linked to Islamist terrorism.”

Other recent UK terrorist cases include the December 5, 2015 case, of an ISIS supporter, Muhaydin Mire, who used a knife to attempt to behead a passenger on a London subway, but failed in his attempt, while injuring the passengers. The ISIS terrorist said “this is for Syria,” when he began his attack at the Laytonstone Underground station in east London and a man threatening other people with a knife. One man was seriously injured and two sustained minor injuries,e passenger and cutting part of his throat. At his appearance at Westminster Magistrates Court on December 7, 2015, it was discovered that Muhaydin Mire had images on this smart phone of ISIS and it was clear that he “idolized” the ISIS terrorist group.

On December 15, a British court found a man believed to be working with MI5 guilty of 13 counts of terrorist offenses, according to BBC. BBC reported that “A jihadi has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after police found he had a number of terror training videos. Mustafa Abdullah, 34, of Stockwell, south London, claimed to be on the M15 payroll. He was caught with the material at Gatwick Airport when he came back from Syria last year. Police found gun instruction videos and audio recordings about radical, violent and fundamentalist Islamic ideology.”

On December 7, 2015, a British married couple appeared in court after plots to commit a suicide bombing attack in London. According to the Daily Mail on December 7, “A married couple accused of plotting a suicide bombing in London ‘repeatedly’ watched the martyrdom video of 7/7 bomber Shehzad Tanweer, a court has heard. Mohammed Rehman, 27, and wife Sana Ahmed Khan, 24, stockpiled chemicals and bomb-making material for a ‘catastrophic attack on London’, the Old Bailey heard. Rehman, using the name ‘Silent Bomber’ and a picture of ‘Jihadi John’ killer Mohammed Emwazi, allegedly took to Twitter to ask his followers to choose a target for the planned suicide bombing. Jurors heard today that Rehman had also hand-written a pledge of allegiance to the barbarous Islamic State and its leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.” It is alleged that “Rehman was considering detonating a bomb at a Westfield shopping centre in London.” According to the report, “He also asked his followers for help picking a target, asking ‘Westfield or London Underground’, the court heard. When police raided Rehman’s home in Reading, Berkshire, in May this year, they found more than 10kg of Urea Nitrate explosives.”

In Bosnia, on December 22, 2015, Bosnian news reports state that a total of 15 individuals were arrested in connection to an investigation over a plot for a New Year’s Eve terrorist attack. The Balkan Insight reports that this included the arrest of 11 men, linked to ISIS. The Balkan Insight reports: “Bosnian prosecution spokesperson Boris Grubesic told BIRN that the police will hand the men to prosecutors on Wednesday who will question the suspects and decide whether to file a custody motion by Thursday. The prosecution said that around 15 persons were targeted in total and, along with the arrests of 11 men, several houses and two ‘places of religious gatherings of radical persons’ were searched. ‘During the raids we found certain evidence that indicates connections to ISIS structures,’ Grubesic said. Terrorism: Bomb Attack Foiled on Kenya Christian Church, Device Found on Air France Jet

Multiple reports of bombs in the African country of Kenya have indicated a threat to the human rights and security of the public. This includes reports of an attempted terrorist bombing at the Kutus Catholic Christian Church in Kirinyaga, as well as a suspicious device which looked like bomb on Air France Flight 463 (AF463) at Moi International Airport in Mombasa, Kenya. In both cases, there have been no reported injuries. Flight AF463 was headed to Charles DeGaulle airport in Paris with 459 passengers. It had departed from the island nation of Mauritius.

At the Kutus Catholic Church, the police successfully detonated a bomb outside of the church after it was found by worshipers during Sunday Christian worship services. Richard Kanyuiro and two other Christian worshipers discovered the bomb during services, while they were giving their Sunday offering, and at first they thought it was a toy. Then, they called the police who discovered it was, in fact, a bomb in the Catholic church. After the police recognized the device as a bomb, the Kutus Catholic Church in Kirinyaga County was evacuated during Sunday worship service. The Kenya news service The Nation reported that: “Area chairman of Catholic Men Association, Mr Paul Njeru, said it was likely that the bomb was planted very early in the morning by unknown terrorists. ” Mr. Njeru told The Nation that “Usually the church is opened at 7am so that those want to pray before the service starts can do so. Therefore it is likely the terrorists sneaked into the church posing as worshippers and planted the bomb.” “The local priest Father Njenga said it was by the grace of God that the bomb did not explode as the service was going on.”

Air France Flight 463 with 473 passengers and crew made an emergency landing due to finding a suspicious package in a toilet. The Kenyan Airport Authorities stated that “Kenya Security foiled a bombing attempt on Air France,” and that “bomb experts discovered a bomb inside Air France [plane] at Moi International Airport,” and that “the explosive was carried away to a safe place outside the airport.”

Kenya news reports state that 6 AF463 passengers are being questioned.

The Seattle Times reported that it looked like a “a stopwatch mounted on a box.”

UPDATE: CBS reported that: “The CEO of Air France said hours after the plane had been grounded that the device discovered in the bathroom was a fake bomb.” “Frederic Gagey, the head of the airline, said the device was made of cardboard, paper and a household timer, and had been found in a little cupboard that is behind a mirror.”

San Bernardino Terrorist Attack: Enrique Marquez Arrested

Enrique Marquez, friend of San Bernardino terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook, was arrested on Thursday, December 17, 2015. He acknowledged that he bought the two AR-15s automatic rifles for Syed Rizwan Farook, which Farook used in the December 2, 2015 terrorist attack in San Bernardino.

In addition, CNN reported on December 10 that: “He’s also told investigators about a 2012 attack plot that he says he and Farook conceived but did not carry out, U.S. officials told CNN. Marquez told investigators that part of the reason the two abandoned their plans was that around that time, they were spooked by unrelated FBI arrests of four people charged with attempting to travel abroad to carry out jihad.”

Enrique Marquez, the friend of terrorist Syed Rizwan Farook, has been arrested on criminal charges in connection with the Dec. 2 massacre in San Bernardino, federal authorities said Thursday.

The 24-year-old Riverside resident once lived next door to Farook and purchased two of the semiautomatic rifles that Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, used in the attack that killed 14 people.

The arrest represents a major development in the widening investigation of the third foreign terror attack in the U.S. this year, and the deadliest since 2001.

Before the shooting, Marquez worked as a security guard at Wal-Mart and was known as a shy cycling enthusiast with dreams of joining the Navy. Recently he had been attempting to lose weight to prepare for the rigors of boot camp.

Marquez appeared to have been greatly influenced by Farook. While Farook was known for keeping to himself, he struck up a friendship with Marquez and the two were often seen tinkering on old cars together. Marquez converted to Islam, prayed at a local mosque and married a member of Farook’s extended family, a Russian emigre.

About four or five years ago, Marquez began attending prayers at the Islamic Society of Corona-Norco, according to Yousuf Bhaghani, president of the facility’s board of directors.

Bhaghani said Marquez was not a regular but stuck out because of his Latino background. He was remembered as “a decent guy who came to pray, nothing that could raise any flags.”

Marquez legally purchased the two firearms in 2011 and 2012, around the same time that Farook had allegedly plotted to carry out an earlier attack. Farook asked Marquez to purchase the weapons on his behalf because he did not want them traced to him and doubted he could pass a background check, the sources said.

FBI agents believe Farook scrapped the plan after three men were arrested in the Inland Empire for plotting to kill Americans in Afghanistan. There was no record of any transfer of the weapons from Marquez to Farook and Malik.

New York: Anti-Muslim KKK Terrorist Sentenced to 8 Years in Prison – FBI

Ku Klux Klan (KKK) terrorist plotter Eric J. Feight was sentenced to 8 years in prison on December 16, 2015, for providing material support to terrorists in a Ku Klux Klan plot to kill Muslim-Americans in the Albany, New York area. The anti-Muslim terrorist Eric J. Feight sought to modify an industrial-grade radiation device intended to be used to kill Muslims in the Albany area. He assisted KKK terrorist Glendon Scott Crawford by designing and building a remote initiation unit to allow the radiation device to be activated from a distance.

The terrorist was arrested in June 19, 2013. As the Albany Times Union reported at the time: “they never actually obtained a radiation source and the device was not fully constructed, officials said.”

As previously reported by R.E.A.L., Eric J. Feight’s co-conspirator, KKK terrorist Glendon Scott Crawford was convicted in August 2015. His co-conspirator faces prison sentencing of 25 years to life, and also plotted an attack on the New York Governor’s Mansion, as previously reported.

The FBI reported on the sentencing of Ku Klux Klan terrorist plotter Eric J. Feight:

WASHINGTON—Eric J. Feight, 55, of Hudson, New York, was sentenced today to serve 97 months in prison for providing material support to terrorists.

The sentence was announced by Assistant Attorney General for National Security John P. Carlin, U.S. Attorney Richard S. Hartunian of the Northern District of New York and Special Agent in Charge Andrew W. Vale of the FBI’s Albany, New York, Division.

Feight pleaded guilty on Jan. 22, 2014, and admitted to helping Glendon Scott Crawford modify an industrial-grade radiation device intended to be used to kill Muslims in the Albany area. Feight also admitted he assisted Crawford by designing and building a remote initiation unit to allow the radiation device to be activated from a distance. Both men were arrested following an extensive federal investigation. Crawford, a self-proclaimed Ku Klux Klan (KKK) member, sought financial support for his plot from the KKK, and he and Feight later met with individuals they believed to be KKK financiers to advance their scheme to kill innocent Americans. Those individuals were actually FBI agents posing as businessmen connected to the KKK who were willing to support the scheme.

“Eric Feight aided Glendon Scott Crawford in altering a dispersal device to target unsuspecting Muslim Americans with lethal doses of radiation,” said Assistant Attorney General Carlin. “Feight and Crawford’s abominable plot to harm innocent Americans was thwarted thanks to the tireless efforts of law enforcement. The National Security Division’s highest priority continues to be combatting terrorism, and we remain ready to identify, disrupt and prevent terrorist threats, both domestically and internationally.”

“The sentence today highlights both the dangers we face when hatred and bigotry beget domestic terrorism and violent extremism, and our commitment to holding those who commit such crimes accountable,” said U.S. Attorney Hartunian. “No American—of any background—should have to live in fear of this kind of attack. This case illustrates the importance of vigilance by community members and an immediate, comprehensive investigation by our Albany FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, which thwarted the diabolical plan Feight supported. We must continue to counter messages of hate by empowering communities and emphasizing the inclusion on which our nation was founded—with local, state and federal law enforcement ready to stop any who refuse to heed that call.”

“Today’s sentencing is the result of the incredible efforts of our Joint Terrorism Task Force and the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” said Special Agent in Charge Vale. “While we enjoy today’s success, it is important that we continue to gain the strongest possible understanding to allow us to better assess the terrorism threat and identify those who would go beyond hateful rhetoric and extremist views to commit violent, criminal acts.”

This case was investigated by the Albany FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Stephen C. Green and Richard Belliss of the Northern District of New York, and Trial Attorney Joseph Kaster of the National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section.

Combat Terrorist Use of Social Media Act of 2015

On December 16, 2015, U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill (H.R. 3654) titled the “Combat Terrorist Use of Social Media Act of 2015.”

The text of the bill stated:

To require a report on United States strategy to combat terrorist use of social media, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the “Combat Terrorist Use of Social Media Act of 2015”.

SEC. 2. REPORT ON STRATEGY TO COMBAT TERRORIST USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA.

(a) In General.—Not later than 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President shall transmit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on United States strategy to combat terrorists’ and terrorist organizations’ use of social media.

(b) Elements.—The report required by subsection (a) shall include the following:

(1) An evaluation of what role social media plays in radicalization in the United States and elsewhere.

(2) An analysis of how terrorists and terrorist organizations are using social media, including trends.

(3) A summary of the Federal Government’s efforts to disrupt and counter the use of social media by terrorists and terrorist organizations, an evaluation of the success of such efforts, and recommendations for improvement.

(4) An analysis of how social media is being used for counter-radicalization and counter-propaganda purposes, irrespective of whether or not such efforts are made by the Federal Government.

(5) An assessment of the value of social media posts by terrorists and terrorist organizations to law enforcement.

(6) An overview of social media training available to law enforcement and intelligence personnel that enables such personnel to understand and combat the use of social media by terrorists and terrorist organizations, as well as recommendations for improving or expanding existing training opportunities.

(c) Form.—The report required by subsection (a) should be submitted in unclassified form, and may include a classified annex in accordance with the protection of intelligence sources and methods.

SEC. 3. POLICY AND COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGY TO COUNTER TERRORISTS’ AND TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS’ USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA.

(a) In General.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President shall transmit to the appropriate congressional committees a report that contains a comprehensive strategy to counter terrorists’ and terrorist organizations’ use of social media, as committed to in the President’s 2011 “Strategic Implementation Plan for Empowering Local Partners to Prevent Violent Extremism in the United States”.

(b) Form.—The report required by subsection (a) should be submitted in unclassified form, and may include a classified annex in accordance with the protection of intelligence sources and methods.

SEC. 4. APPROPRIATE CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES DEFINED.

In this Act, the term “appropriate congressional committees” means the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on the Armed Services, the Committee on Homeland Security, the Committee on the Judiciary, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, the Committee on the Judiciary, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate.

Free Our Sisters Online Group Praises Extremist Terrorists

As first reported in the London Times and then the Daily Mail, a group of women have been using social media to promote extremist views. The London Times’ Dipesh Gadher described this as a “women’s network is using macabre images on social media to raise funds for convicted terrorists and their families.” The Daily Mail reported that the ” network across several social media platforms are a hotbed for extremism, filled with propaganda posters and homemade letters decorated in love hearts and glitter for jailed Muslim prisoners involving in terror cases.”

Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) was able to directly confirm these media reports by discovering such a network on Twitter and other social media sources. The online media sources via the prisons where extremist and terrorists are being held as “kuffar” prisons. This “Free Our Sisters” network included an image of a celebration cake for the 9/11 Terrorist attack and praising Osama Bin Laden, as well as the routine trademark raised index finger on numerous postings in support of the ISIS terrorist organization. Osama Bin Laden was responsible for leading the Al Qaeda organization and its plot to murder 2,977 Americans on multiple attacks on the United States via hijacked jetliners, destroying the World Trade Center towers in New York City, attack the Pentagon in Washington DC, and an attempt to destroy the Congressional building or White House in Washington DC which failed due to passengers fighting back over the skies of Pennsylvania.

This has also included “Free Our Sisters” network support for Pakistani woman terrorist Afia Siddiqui, a Pakistan Al-Qaeda operative, who is currently serving 86 years in federal prison. Federal law enforcement believed that she was plotted terrorist attacks inside the United States of America, including plots in New York City, Boston, and suspicious travel near Washington DC in the Maryland suburbs. After she was identified as a terrorist operative in the United States, she disappeared to Afghanistan. She was arrested in Afghanistan, and charged in a sealed criminal complaint in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, with assault with a deadly weapon and with attempting to kill a U.S. Army Captain “while engaged in… official duties.” She was charged on two counts of attempted murder of US nationals, officers, and employees, assault with a deadly weapon, carrying and using a firearm, and three counts of assault on US officers and employees. According to her indictment, she was carrying documents in describing “the construction of ‘dirty bombs,’ chemical and biological weapons, and other explosives (including mortality rates) and plans for ‘mass casualty attack’ and that listed various locations in the United States, including Plum Island, the Empire State Building,the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, and the Brooklyn Bridge.” When she was arrested in Afghanistan, she was carrying in her purse handwritten notes and a computer thumb drive containing recipes for conventional bombs and weapons of mass destruction, instructions on how to make machines to shoot down US drones, descriptions of New York City landmarks with references to a mass casualty attack, and two pounds of sodium cyanide in a glass jar. Afia Siddiqui was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and obtained a Ph.D. doctoral degree from Brandeis University, where she taught a Biology Laboratory course. Media reports stated that Khalid Sheikh Muhammad, the alleged al-Qaeda chief planner of the 11 September attacks, named Afia Siddiqui as an Al-Qaeda operative. Khalid Sheikh Muhammad was related to Afia Siddiqui, as her second husband’s uncle. Prior to being identified as a terrorist operative, Afia Siddiqui, created a non-profit agency for fundraising and education called the “Institute of Islamic Research and Teaching,” and had previously been involved with other non-profits.

However, “Free Our Sisters” views Afia Siddiqui as an oppressed woman, who they are seeking to support, and they describe her imprisonment for her crimes as “American Terrorism.”

Support for terrorist extremists by the “Free Our Sisters” also includes support for men arrested for terrorism, such as Briton Mizanur Rahman (aka Abu Baraa) who has previously been convicted on solicitation to murder. In addition, in 2006, the Sun reported that “Rahman is said to have told fellow demonstrators: Oh Allah, we want to see another 9/11 in Iraq, another 9/11 in Denmark, another 9/11 in Spain, in France, all over Europe. Oh Allah, destroy all of them.” Then in August 2015, he was re-arrested for support for the ISIS terrorist organization. The “Free Our Sisters” also promotes writing letters on Abu Baraa’s behalf.

To who might recognize this is as a minority voice, Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) is disappointed that there is not enough majority voices speaking out against such support for terrorist figures.
