Compass Direct News has reported on the abuse of worshipers at the Gereja Kristen Indonesia (GKI) Taman Yasmin Church, stating that “Since April 11 the congregation has held services on the roadside in front of the sealed church in stifling heat. The church pastor, the Rev. Ujang Tanusaputra, told Compass that the congregation has held Sunday services six times in front of the building that the mayor of Bogor sealed.”
Reverend Ujang Tanusaputra told Compass that the church had received an official permit from the Bogor City government. However, a group that objected to the presence of church resulted in getting the church sealed by the Bogor government. Despite this, the church won a court lawsuit against the effort to seal the church, but despite all of this, the congregation is not permitted to worship in the building which is 80 percent complete. According to the Compass report, the “construction was going smoothly until a Muslim group began demonstrating and the government sealed the building to appease them.” Reverend Ujang Tanusaputra told Compass “We are going to continue worshiping by the roadside as part of the struggle to remove the seal.” Compass reports that “Tanusaputra said he hopes the Lord will intervene to show that Indonesia is a country where laws are followed and all faiths may freely worship.”
In March 2010, the anti-democracy political organization Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) organized a protest of hundreds of its members in front of the Bogor City Council protesting the building permit given to the Gereja Kristen Indonesia (GKI) Taman Yasmin Church. Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia and other groups together under the Indonesian Muslims Communication Forum (Forkami) have sought to deny the church members freedom of worship in their church in Bogor.

When asked by R.E.A.L. today about this year’s Hizb ut-Tahrir event, the Oak Lawn, Illinois Hilton has stated that it is not holding this year’s Hizb ut-Tahrir conference. Other Marriott hotels in Oak Brook are also not holding the event, although apparently there had been consideration to moving the event at one point to August 1, 2010. Marriott event planning reservations stated that Hizb ut-Tahrir does not have a conference planned at their facilities according to their current records. In terms of Starwood facilities, R.E.A.L. has confirmed that the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, and the Chicago Westin are also not holding the July 11, 2010 Hizb ut-Tahrir conference. Starwood national reservations also states that their records show that the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago is not holding the July 11, 2010 Hizb ut-Tahrir conference.
On July 11, 2010 (the previously scheduled date of the Hizb ut-Tahrir conference in Chicago), Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.) has planned a public event at 2 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool steps in Washington DC to promote democracy, equality, and liberty. We choose that spot where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood – with his courage of compassion years ago – on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool Steps, and called out to the American conscience “I have a dream.” We too have a dream of being united in support democracy, equality, and liberty. AFP reports of the calls by anti-democracy organization, Hizb ut-Tahrir, in calling for stonings in Indonesia, and viewing the Internet as a threat to Islamic values. (Apparently this excludes the Indonesia Hizb ut-Tahrir web site.) Hizb ut-Tahrir also called for promotion of a global Islamic caliphate. At the Indonesia Hizb ut-Tahrir web site, Hizb ut-Tahrir claimed that 1,500 individuals attended its rally. Hizb ut-Tahrir Indonesia states that “HTI therefore calls upon all parties, especially members of parliament to break down the total current system and replace it with Islamic sharia.”

We have written the Hizb ut-Tahrir America organization and challenged them to a public debate before the American people on their views in seeking a global Khilafah (Caliphate) versus our views of unqualified, Universal Human Rights for all people. We are issuing this public challenge to Hizb ut-Tahrir America to do so.
Hizb ut-Tahrir also has repeatedly called for the “death penalty” for those who leave Islam. In London on May 9, 2010, the anti-democracy organization Hizb ut-Tahrir called for Pakistanis to reject the Pakistan government as “traitors,” and called for Pakistanis to support the creation of a global extremist caliphate. Hizb ut-Tahrir’s Dr. Abdul Wahid called for the Paksitani people to support a “re-establishment of the Khilafat, an obligation from Islam.”
The British Hizb ut-Tahrir organization also condemned U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s remarks as a “farce” that there would be “severe consequences” if the planned NYC car bomb plot was established to have been planned from within Pakistan. The anti-democracy Hizb ut-Tahrir organization once again blamed terrorist attacks within Pakistan on the United States. In July 2009, a London Times report “British Islamists plot against Pakistan” on British members of Hizb ut-Tahrir stated that UK members had been incited to go to Pakistan to seek to influence Pakistan military members and others to instigate a “coup” against the current Pakistan government. The London Times report described how Hizb ut-Tahrir members’ “aim was to subject Muslim and western countries to Islamic rule under sharia law, ‘by force’ if necessary”… where ” ‘every woman would have to cover up’ and stoning to death for adultery and the chopping off of thieves’ hands would be the law, he said.” The London Times report added that Hizb ut-Tahrir aims of “Islamic rule would be spread through ‘indoctrination’ and by ‘military means’ if non-Muslim countries refused to bow to it. ‘Waging war’ would be part of the caliphate’s foreign policy.”

In December 2009, a major United Kingdom university stopped the Hizb ut-Tahrir from using public university facilities for a debate. On December 10, BBC reported that attempts by the Hizb ut-Tahrir to hold a public event at Queen Mary College was canceled once the media reported about them. In their report BBC stated about Hizb ut-Tahrir that “A leaflet displayed on its website once urged Muslims to ‘kill [Jews] wherever you find them’.” A spokesman for Student Rights told BBC that “Hizb ut-Tahrir speakers have been known to condone suicide bombings and support Islamist movements which undertake terrorist acts such as Islamic Violent Extemism.”
“Hizb ut-Tahrir is an Islamist network that is committed to creating an Islamic Caliphate that spans the globe. The organization is banned in Germany and Russia as well as several Arab countries and targets Muslim children between the ages of 9 and 18. Many compare their efforts to organizations like the Hitler Youth. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, is counted among their alumnus.”
Dr. Jasser stated that “Hizb ut-Tahrir preaches an ideology that calls for the destruction of the principles that America is founded on.”
BBC television broadcast on its Panorama television show on the Hizb ut-Tahrir, interviewing a British “influential Muslim figure” who stated about Hizb ut-Tahrir to BBC: “I believe that if Hizb ut-Tahrir are not stopped at this stage and we continue to let them to politicize and pollute the youngsters’ minds and other gullible peoples minds, that what will happen in effect is that these terrorism acts and these suicide bombings that we hear going on around us in foreign countries, we will actually start seeing these incidents happening right outside our doorsteps.”

The anti-democracy group Hizb ut-Tahrir, which seeks the creation of a global caliphate, led a protest of thousands in Indonesia on Sunday March 14, 2010 in the South Sulawesi area of Makassar and also in Central Java’s Solo city, regarding the planned visit of U.S. president Barack Obama to Indonesia at the end of March 2010. The anti-freedom Hizb ut-Tahrir group is promoting an anti-Obama campaign throughout all of Indonesia on their web site (see screen shot). The Hizb ut-Tahrir protesters view Barack Obama as “Musuh Omat Islam”which means “Enemy of Islam.”
Mediareports have stated that 2,000 Hizb ut-Tahrir protesters were at various events and marches against Barack Obama in Indonesia. The Jakarta Post reported that one march led by the anti-democracy group Hizb ut-Tahrir against Obama began at a local mosque. AFP reported that Hizb ut-Tahrir spokesman Nur Alam called America “the real terrorists” and stated that while U.S. President Barack Obama may “have a different skin color” from former U.S. President Bush, that Obama seeks to “oppress” Muslims.
