Saudi Woman Challenges Male-Only Polygamy, Accused of Blasphemy
Saudi journalist Nadine Bedair raised the question of why only men are allowed to practice polygamy, but not women. For this, she has been accused of blasphemy, being anti-Islamic, and is being sued by an Egyptian member of Parliament. In addition, at least one Egyptian sheik defends polygamy by men as based on the Qur’an. Nadine Al-Bedair replied with another article “Finally you know the taste of anger.”

Washington DC Extremist Imam Blames Christmas Day Terror Attack on U.S. and Israel
Imam Abdul Alim Musa (aka Clarence Reams) , founder and director of As-Sabiqun, has appeared on Iran’s Press TV stating that the U.S. government and Israel’s Mossad are to blame for the failed Christmas Day terror attack on Northwest Flight 235 attempted by Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab.
Abdul Alim Musa is a member of the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought (ICIT), and has been described in the DC Muslim Link as the Imam of Masjid Al-Islam in Washington, D.C. Imam Abdul Alim Musa has supported calls for extremist Violent Extemism, called for support for terrorist organizations, and seeks the creation of an extremist caliphate to “dominate all other ways of life.” Masjid Al-Islam recently held a fund-raiser for the family of alleged criminal Luqman Ameen Abdullah, who reportedly sought violent jihad against America, and Imam Abdul Alim Musa recently defended Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan as “victimized” and the “target of psychological warfare.”
In the latest interview, provided by MEMRI, Imam Abdul Alim Musa states: “We said it then, and we say it now, and this is the belief in the Muslim world: 90% of the bombing plots — or this plot or that plot — we believe is done by and with the help and the aid of Mossad, and the United States government.” “We believe that whoever this guy is from Nigeria – we don’t believe he has any ties with Islam. If you talk about the World Trade Center bombing – all of these things are done… I can give you two quick reasons, and it will solve the problem. Number one – to blame these things on Muslims. You get the Patriot Act, you get the anti-terrorism bill, you get a right to what they call stop, put a freeze, on the global Islamic movement, which has been spreading, growing, and developing. You get a chance to launch missiles, to kill, and to put a freeze on the Islamic movement.” (See MEMRI-TV video.)
Musa also stated that such conspiracies are an attack on Islam: “It’s a message that these Muslims are evil. It gives the United States the justification for Yemen, for even northern Nigeria, for anybody. And the people are doing it. Why is this young rich guy all of a sudden going to blow up something? The no-fly list – the man [Obama] is lying through his teeth. I’m on the no-fly list. If I take ten flights in the US, I’m held up. I miss five of them.”

The Investigative Project on Terrorism has a report on Abdul Alim Musa, including previous videos of his speeches, and states that:
— “In his role as an Imam and representative of Masjid al-Islam and As-Sabiqun, Musa has consistently put forth strident anti-American, anti-Israel and anti-Semitic messages that emphasize his conviction that America and Israel seek to destroy Islam and subjugate all Muslims. Based on this, Musa preaches on the glory of suicide bombings and Violent Extemism, while praising terrorist groups like Hamas and Hizballah as ‘heroes’ and condemning the U.S. as the true terrorist. Musa also denies that al-Qaeda was behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and blames it instead on the Bush Administration and the CIA.”
On December 25, 2009, Imam Alim Musa’s Masjid Al-Islam in Washington, D.C. held a fundraiser for the family of Luqman Ameen Abdullah, Islamic Imam of Masjid Al-Haqq located in Detroit, Michigan. The blog for the DC Masjid Al-Islam stated that the FBI had “assassinated” Detroit’s Luqman Ameen Abdullah, and that “we of the As-Sabiqun movement will continue to challenge Zionist American domination of Islamic affairs locally and worldwide.” The Masjid Al-Islam seeks to create replace the current government in the United States and the world with a global extremist caliphate, rejecting the U.S. Constitution and its laws.
On October 28, 2009, FBI agents sought to raid the Masjid Al-Haqq in Dearborn, Michigan, but when Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah fired on FBI agents during the raid, he was killed in a shootout. The October 28 FBI arrests included arrests of individuals in Detroit as well. A joint statement by the Detroit FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office stated that the eleven suspects “are members of a group that is alleged to have engaged in violent activity over a period of many years and known to be armed.”
In R.E.A.L.’s October 29, 2009 posting, we stated that a federal criminal complaint stated that eleven individuals linked to the head of a Dearborn, Michigan area mosque Masjid Al-Haqq, including Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, sought to promote violence against the United States government, including calls for attacks on the FBI, attacks on the U.S. federal government, calls for a nuclear attack on Washington DC, and encouraging attacks on police. The federal criminal complaint also documented reports of Luqman Ameen Abdullah’s talking to little children about how many people he had killed, and it also stated that Luqman Ameen Abdullah told another member that “I shot a lot of nigg*rs.”
According to the federal criminal complaint by the FBI:
“The investigation has shown that Luqman Ameen Abdullah, Imam of the Masjid Al-Haqq, in Detroit, Michigan, is a highly placed leader of a nationwide radical fundamentalist Sunni group consisting primarily of African-Americans, some of whom converted to Islam while they were serving sentences in various prisons across the United States. Their primary mission is to establish a separate, sovereign Islamic state (‘The Ummah’) within the borders of the United States, governed by Sharia law. The Ummah is to be ruled over by Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, formerly known as H. Rapp Brown, who is currently serving a life sentence in the Florence, Colorado Supermax for shooting two police officers in Georgia.”
“In 1981, Luqman Abdullah was convicted in Wayne County, Michigan of felonious assault and carrying a concealed weapons. Further a check of law enforcement indices shows that in 1979, Abdullah was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and assault on a police officer by the Mobile Alabama Police Department; the disposition of those charges is unknown.”
“Luqman Abdullah calls his followers to an offensive jihad, rather than a defensive jihad. He regularly preaches anti-government and anti-law enforcement rhetoric. Abdullah and his followers have trained regularly in the use of firearms, and continue to train in martial arts and sword fighting. Abdullah encourages members of the Masjid Al-Haqq, many of whom are convicted felons, to carry a firearm, and information obtained during the course of this investigation indicates that many of Abdullah’s followers are usually armed. Abdullah preaches that every Muslim should have a weapon, and should not be scared to use their weapons when needed. Members and former members of the Masjid Al-Haqq have stated they are willing to do anything Abdullah instructs and/or preaches, even including criminal conduct and acts of violence.”
The Washington DC-based Masjid Al-Islam also promotes efforts to free Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, formerly known as H. Rapp Brown.

UK: British Muslims for Secular Democracy (BMSD) to Counter Anti-Democracy Group Islam4UK Protest
British Muslims for Secular Democracy (BMSD) states that it will counter the planned march by anti-democratic group Islam4UK in Wooton Bassett:
“British Muslims for Secular Democracy (BMSD) is alarmed and disappointed to learn that the extremist group Al Muhajiroun, in the guise of ‘Islam4UK,’ are planning to hold a procession through the streets of Wootton Bassett. This choice of venue is deliberate and designed to cause maximum offence and distress — particularly to the friends and families of fallen servicemen.”
“The vast majority of British Muslims — irrespective of their diverse views on particular armed conflicts — recognise that British soldiers continue to serve admirably in difficult circumstances, to make our country safer for all.”
“We deplore the politicisation of Wootton Bassett by reactionary political leaders, including Nick Griffin’s attempt to hijack a homecoming service last year to promote the BNP. UK: Anti-Democracy “Islam4UK” Group Plans March
The United Kingdom’s anti-democracy, extremist group “Islam4UK” has made yet another wild claim of a plan to hold a public event, this time a plan for a “march” in Wiltshire’s Wootton Bassett, where dead UK soldiers’ bodies are “repatriated.” As the Scottish Sun reports, “The bodies of most of the British troops killed in Afghanistan have been driven through the town near Swindon, Wilts, in repatriation ceremonies after being flown home. ” The London Telegraph reports that Islam4UK’s Anjem Choudary also plans to harass the parents of dead British soldiers by writing them letters with his view of “the reality of what they died for.”
The extremist “Islam4UK” group, which describes itself as “a platform for the global front Al-Muhajiroun,” has called for Sharia-based stonings, amputations, suppression of women, and support for Violent Extremist terrorists, is led by Anjem Choudary who has praised the 9/11 attackers, and has called for an end to freedom and democracy.
Notably, Islam4UK has repeatedly failed in its announced plans to hold such events. In October 2009, it claimed that it would hold an October 31, 2009 march in London calling for an end to freedom and democracy to be replaced by extremist Sharia — it canceled that march. In December 2009, it claimed that it would hold an event challenging Christians called “Jesus4Shariah” for December 18, 2009 — that it later “postponed.” The Daily Telegraph reported that a local politician was skeptical that the local police would grant Islam4UK permission to march.
In its latest claim for an “event,” Islam4UK claims that
— “Islam4UK, a platform for the global front Al-Muhajiroun, would like to announce the launch of a momentous march that is scheduled to take place in the following weeks, details of which will be released shortly inshaa’allah (God willing). The destination of this very special event is the small market town of Wootton Bassett, located 6 miles Southwest of Swindon, in northern Wiltshire; Wootton Bassett, is currently famous for its public mourning processions held in memory of British soldiers killed whilst on military service in Afghanistan; coffins containing the dismembered bodies of these soldiers are usually draped in union jack flags and driven through the town centre from RAF Lyneham, as a tribute to their ‘sacrifice’. The proposed march by members of Islam4UK is however of a very different venture, held not in memory of the occupying and merciless British military, but rather the real war dead who have been shunned by the Western media and general public as they were and continue to be horrifically murdered in the name of Democracy and Freedom – the innocent Muslim men, women and children. It is quite extraordinary, that with well over 100,000 Muslims killed in Afghanistan in the last 8 years that those military serviceman who have directly or indirectly contributed to their death are paraded as war heroes and moreover honoured for what is ultimately genocide. We at Islam4UK find this totally unacceptable and as a result have decided to launch the ‘Wootton Bassett March’ to highlight the real casualties of this brutal Crusade.”
Choudary’s Islam4UK, not unlike other extremist groups as Hizb ut-Tahrir, consistently use propaganda to shift the blame of extremist Taliban and other groups consistent and wanton murder of other Muslims onto others. Islam4UK will not march against the Afghanistan extremist Taliban murdering Muslims, including the recent report of 6 Afghan men beheaded by the Taliban. The Muslim “war dead” from extremists will never be challenged by Islam4UK propagandists.

The Daily Express reported in October that Islam4UK stated “we have had enough of democracy and man-made law and the depravity of the British culture.’ ‘On this day we will call for a complete upheaval of the British ruling system its members and legislature, and demand the full implementation of Shari’ah in Britain.’ ”
According to the London Evening Standard, the extremist group “Islam4UK” is a spin-off from the previously banned “Al-Muhajiroun” led by exiled leader Omar Bakri Muhammed. Al-Muhajiroun has praised the 9/11 attacks on the United States. Omar Bakri Muhammed who continues to broadcast to extremists in the United Kingdom via the Internet using the Paltalk tool on a nightly basis (9:30 PM – 11:30 PM GMT), as promoted on the “Islam4UK” web site.
Anjem Choudary, the deputy of exiled radical Omar Bakri Muhammed, has been conducting ongoing operations of the “Islam4UK” organization in the United Kingdom.
Choudary praised the 9/11 attackers along with Omar Bakri Muhammed. Choudary has stated that “Violent Extemism is a duty and a struggle and an obligation that lies upon the shoulders of us all. We will not rest until the flag of Allah and the flag of Islam is raised above 10 Downing Street” He has also stated “if you do not fear your home being raided by the Kufar [non-believer] police, you are not enforcing the Sharia.”
As part of his calls for Sharia law in the United Kingdom, Islam4UK’s Anjem Choudary has been reported calling for the enforcement of bukhas on women in the United Kingdom, stating: “Every woman, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, would have to wear a traditional burkha and cover everything apart from her face and hands in public.” Choudary’s calls for Sharia in the United Kingdom have also demanded stoning, stating: “In matters to do with the judicial system and the penal code, one male witness is sufficient to counter the testimony of two females. People who commit adultery would be stoned to death.”
On July 24, 2009, the Daily Mail July 24 reported that: “Exhorting Britain’s 1.8 million Muslims to follow his example, Choudary dreams of seeing the black crescent flag, which is the symbol of his organisation, flying over Downing Street, and a draconian form of sharia law imposed across the UK. He wants alcohol banned, amputations for thieves, and adulterers to be stoned to death.” The Daily Mail report quotes Choudary as praising Sharia-based amputations for thieves, with Choudary stating “It is a deterrent. If you steal, you know you will face having your hands and feet cut off.” In March 2009, Choudary was quoted by numerous news services for threatening homosexuals in the United Kingdom with punishment under Sharia law.
The July 24 Daily Mail report also addressed Anjem Choudary’s “road shows” around the United Kingdom to gain followers for his extremist ideology, including small children. The Sunday Mercury has also reported on Choudary’s efforts to “convert” small children to his beliefs in the United Kingdom. Choudary has created a “summer school” for Sharia to indoctrinate children, according to reports.
The Daily Mail has pointed out that Choudary “has been secretly taped urging his followers to raise money for Islamic fighters in Afghanistan and Iraq, saying this would help them kill the ‘butchers and cowards’ from the U.S. and Britain.”
In March 2009, reports of Choudary’s call for Britons to raise funds for the “mujahdeen” were documented by the London Times and the Daily Telegraph. According to the London Times: “At one point on the tape Choudary says: ‘People [are] looking for a place for their money to go so they can go to the front line and they can’t find it. You should not think to yourself ‘my money, my money’ . . . you have [an] opportunity to carry da’wah [the spread of Islam] to society . . . and you have money that can go towards the da’wah, you have money that can go towards the mujaheddin.’ ”
The anti-democracy, anti-freedom “Islam4UK” group led by Anjem Choudary uses the black flag of the extremist caliphate (khalifah) in the logo of its web site.
