Media reports have described the ongoing violence against Christian churches in Malaysia, reportedly over disputes over the use of the word “Allah,” with extremists claiming that Malaysian Christians have no right to use the Arabic word which simply translates to “God.”
AsiaNews reports that Christian churches have been attacked throughout Malaysia, “three Protestant and one Catholic church.”
The Catholic Herald Malaysia reported that the Catholic Church of Assumption in Petaling Jaya was attacked with a molotov cocktail while worshippers were inside.
The Herald reports that the “Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan confirmed the attacks, saying the first attack was by motorcyclists who threw a helmet filled with flammable liquid at the Metro Tabernacle Church in Desa Melawati, causing a fire that burned books and chairs near here, at midnight. Its administrative office was gutted in the attack.”
The Herald also reports that another attack “took place at the Life Chapel Church in Section 17, Petaling Jaya at 9am, where two Molotov cocktails, also thrown by a motorcyclist, exploded to blacken the walls of the porch and upper-story window of the two-story church building.”
The Herald further reports that Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan “also confirmed that he has a received a phone call from an undisclosed church saying there have been threats against them.”

ChinaAid reports: On January 7, 2010, Nong Wu Shi PSB officials in the Aksu region raided a house church, arresting 14 house church members. The military PSB detained the members for over 12 hours, on charges of participating in “illegal religious activities.” The next morning, 11 were released, leaving house church leaders Yang Tianlu, He Sujin, and Sujin’s son, He Guangyuan, in detention. ChinaAid reports: On January 7, 2010, Attorney Li Baiguang sent letters of appeal on behalf of Alimujiang Yimiti to the Xinjiang Provincial Government and Chinese Central Government. In the letters, he stated that, by law, the charge of “unlawfully providing state secrets to overseas organizations” and the sentence of 15-years imprisonment were illegal and should be withdrawn. Mansor Mohammad Asad of Toledo, Ohio was arrested Wednesday night on Delta Airlines flight 2485 from Miami to Detroit, according to reports by the Miami Herald, AP, and Reuters. Mansor Mohammad Asad was taken off the Delta Flight 2485 while taxiing on the Miami runway.
Reuters reports that Asad “began making loud anti-Semitic comments and chanting, apparently in Arabic,” and stated that witnesses told Reuters that Asad said “I’m Palestinian and I want (to) kill all Jews.” AP also reports that Asad stated “I want to kill all the Jews” before police forced him off a Detroit-bound plane.
According to the Miami Herald, Asad “berated officers and made racist comments” to them, including telling one to “Go back to Africa you white racist cop!”
AP reports that “witnesses told investigators who boarded the plane that Asad was loud, disruptive and claimed to be Palestinian.” Miami Herald reports that Asad charged and threatened police officers; it reports that Asad was “charged with threats against a public servant, disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence to his person.” AP also reports that “The affidavit noted that alcohol didn’t appear to be a factor during the incident.”
Miami Herald reports that “Homeland Security’s Sari Koshetz wrote in a news release late Wednesday night. She said four passengers were taken off a plane from Miami to Detroit after making ‘inappropriate remarks and acting disruptively.’ Police did not release any information about the other passengers.”
AP reports that “FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela said there were no indications the disturbance was related to terrorism. The bureau was initially brought in to look into the incident but is no longer involved in the investigation. She said the FBI is treating the disruption as a matter for local authorities.”

February 10, 2009 – Bangor Daily News: “Report: ‘Dirty bomb’ parts found in slain man’s home” — “It says that four 1-gallon containers of 35 percent hydrogen peroxide, uranium, thorium, lithium metal, thermite, aluminum powder, beryllium, boron, black iron oxide and magnesium ribbon were found in the home.
— “Also found was literature on how to build ‘dirty bombs’ and information about cesium-137, strontium-90 and cobalt-60, radioactive materials. The FBI report also stated there was evidence linking James Cummings to white supremacist groups. This would seem to confirm observations by local tradesmen who worked at the Cummings home that he was an ardent admirer of Adolf Hitler and had a collection of Nazi memorabilia around the house, including a prominently displayed flag with swastika. Cummings claimed to have pieces of Hitler’s personal silverware and place settings, painter Mike Robbins said a few days after the shooting.”
— “An application for membership in the National Socialist Movement filled out by Cummings also was found in the residence, according to the report. Cummings’ wife, Amber B. News mediaarereporting that white supremacist terrorist James Von Brunn died today at 1 PM at a local hospital in Butner, North Carolina, AP reports from “Denise Simmons, the spokeswoman for the federal prison where von Brunn had been held.” AP reported that Von Brunn received medical care at the North Carolina prison complex, which is used for aging and sick inmates. His death is being eulogized by white supremacists and Nazis who are praising him as a “martyr” and an example for others to “act White.”

Von Brunn had been wounded by return fire, after he shot and killed black security guard Stephen Tyrone Johns at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington DC on June 10, 2009. Von Brunn murdered Johns while Johns was holding the museum door open for Von Brunn. AP also reported that “Officials at the prison hospital had previously said chronic medical problems had complicated a psychiatric evaluation for the suspect, who prior to the shooting had written racist and anti-Semitic screeds on the Internet.”

The New York Times reported that “At the time of the Holocaust museum shooting, the F.B.I. said it knew he had an ‘established Web site that expressed hatred of African-Americans and Jews.’ ” Von Brunn had left a note in his automobile on the day of his terrorist attack on the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum stating that “The Holocaust is a lie… Obama was created by Jews. Obama does what his Jew owners tell him to do. Jews captured America’s money. Jews control the mass media.”
