— The Daily Toreador reports: “The Texas Tech Police Department documented the discovery of hate group fliers from the Ku Klux Klan on April 12 in the C-12 parking lot, and a member of the Lubbock KKK confirmed the fliers are not a prank.”
— “The Imperial Kleagle for the Traditional Christian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, who lives in Lubbock, goes by the alias ‘Cowboy Outlaw’ for security reasons.”
— “Cowboy said he could not disclose how many people in Lubbock are members of the KKK. ‘It’s a secret organization; we’re the Invisible Empire, he said. However, Cowboy said people would be surprised by how many KKK members there are in Lubbock. He said he joined the Traditional Christian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan four years ago and was the first KKK member in Lubbock at that time, but the Klan has since grown through recruitment. As the Imperial Kleagle, he said he is the head recruiter of the Traditional Christian Knights for the whole United States. Cowboy said he was involved with another white supremacist group from 1989 until 2004, when he left that organization to join the Traditional Christian Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.”

— ExpressIndia and Agencies report: “A Hindu  girl from Punjab province was kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam  and is currently being held in a madrassa, leading Pakistani rights activist Ansar Burney said today.”
— “Burney said his rights organisation, the Ansar Burney Trust International, had learnt that 15-year-old Gajri, the daughter of Mengha Ram, was abducted by a Muslim neighbour from her home at Katchi Mandi, Liaquatpur, in Rahim Yar Khan district on December 21, 2009.”
— “Gajri’s parents later found out that she was beingheld captive in a madrassa or seminary in southern Punjab and that she had been married and converted to Islam, Burney said.”
— “The local administration is ‘refusing to respond to the abduction’ of the girl, who is not being allowed to leave the madrassa or to speak to her parents, he said.”

North Carolina: NAACP Wants State & Federal Probe Into Jacksonville Vandalism — KKK, Swastika
— WITN reports: “The North Carolina NAACP is calling for a state and federal investigation into hate speech spray painted onto a building used primarily by African-Americans in a Jacksonville neighborhood. The graffiti defaced the Mount Horeb Lodge on Kerr Street. Included on the building was ‘KKK’, ‘Hail Satan’, ‘666’ and the Nazi symbol. The NAACP is calling for a “full and comprehensive investigation” by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”

White Supremacist Sentenced in Hate Crime Threat to Kill Muslim Woman, Baby

Seattle PI News reports on the sentencing of a white supremacist Eric Lee Garner to 1 and 1/2 years in prison for assault threatening to use a knife on a Muslim woman and her 6 month old baby.

Seattle PI News reports:

“A 24-year-old man accused of threatening to cut a woman and her infant because she is Muslim was sentenced to 1 ½ years in prison Friday following a conviction on hate crime and assault charges.”

“Eric Lee Garner, a homeless man recently of Auburn, threatened to harm the woman and her 6-month-old son as she waited in line at the Seattle Indian Health Board office on July 1. Garner, police say, began yelling at the woman for wearing a headscarf before displaying a sheathed fixed blade knife and threatening to cut her genitals.”

“‘I’m going to cut you and your baby with this knife!’ Garner allegedly said. Police say Garner continued to make anti-Muslim remarks throughout the tirade.”

“Garner’s legal troubles did not end with Friday’s hearing — he is currently facing rape charges on allegations that he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old at knifepoint.”

“Sentencing Garner to the longest standard sentence for the crimes, King County Superior Court Judge Laura Inveen noted Garner’s apparent history of violence.”

“‘You resort to violence,’ the judge told Garner. ‘You’ve been resorting to violence for a very long time.'”

“In the July 1 attack, Garner was stopped from drawing the knife by a worker at the office. According to charging documents, the worker at the office grabbed the weapon and wrested it from him, according to police. Garner then recovered the knife and fled, police said.”

“Following his arrest days later, prosecutors say Garner continued to make threatening statements.”

“‘In this incident, the defendant yelled numerous inflammatory comments about Muslims at a Muslim woman who was a complete stranger,’ Deputy Prosecutor Val Richey said in court documents. ‘He told the arresting officers that he had a fully automatic AK-47 that he bought after 9/11 and that he was a white supremacist.'”
