What You Can Do

Six Steps for Success in Being Responsible for Equality and Liberty

1. EDUCATE. Learn about how anti-freedom ideologies are threatening equality and liberty.  You have come to the right place for that!  Read our articles and additional articles on other web sites.  Inform your friends and family of the threat.
2. TAKE A STAND. Sign one of the petitions letting supremacists know that you are responsible for equality and liberty, and demanding the U.S. government and international leaders acknowledge these ideological threats to equality and liberty.  Write your own blog articles to make it clear that we have a consensus on our inalienable human rights of equality and liberty.
3. TELL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES THAT YOU ARE IN CHARGE.  Contact your legislator or international representative and demand that they share your responsibility for equality and liberty, that they publicly acknowledge the threat of ideologies of institutionalized hate, and demand that they act as your representative to ensure that those who endorse supremacism are not rewarded, not engaged with, and not tolerated.
4. REACH OUT TO OTHERS IN HUMAN RIGHTS. This is a fight for all of humanity, and we need to make certain that leaders in other human rights groups are addressing the threat of such ideologies of institutionalized hate as a priority.   Confronting such institutionalized hate is the human rights priority of our generation.
5. TAKE IT TO THE STREET.  When other methods don’t succeeded, free people must be responsible for public demonstrations.  When it comes to the growing threat of ideologies of institutionalized hate, we are at that point today.  It is essential that our generation owns the responsibility for equality and liberty enough to mobilize the public through public demonstrations.  R.E.A.L. will be a leader with you in planning such public demonstrations.
6. BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOVE.  To effect change, we must first have a message of love that reaches of our fellow human beings, by showing our responsibility for equality and liberty by being publicly committed to our universal human rights for all people.  We must ask those who hate to choose love.  We must refuse to allow hate to be legitimized by those who believe that others do not deserve such universal human rights of equality and liberty.

Events and Petitions

Thank you for your interest in being responsible for equality and liberty.  Please see our list of planned events and petitions designed to show those that support institutionalized hate that we plan to stop their attack on equality and liberty.

Tell Government That Equality and Liberty Are A Priority

You can positively influence your local community for positive change by publicly letting your local government and legislators that you do not accept supremacist ideologies that seek to deny humanity’s inalienable rights to equality and liberty.  On our R.E.A.L. website, we provide a list of sources to contact your federal legislators at:

Individual and Collective Action for Equality and Liberty, Defying Supremacism

In addition, you can hold your own public rallies and community events to educate your fellow citizens on the national threats of supremacism to our freedoms, and to educate them on the vital need for them to show that their human rights are a priority publicly and to their government representatives in defiance of ideologies of institutionalized hate.  We are working on handouts and fliers for public distribution to help in educating the public as to why supremacism is a threat, and why together, we must defend our common human bond to be responsible for equality for liberty.

If you have a special skill or willingness to volunteer, experience in organizing public events, access to specific outreach opportunities, and talents in communicating the public, let us know so that we can work together most effectively in using our combined skills in being responsible for equality and liberty.

Volunteers Needed

Our group was founded in March 2009 and began with our defense of women’s universal human rights on International Women’s Day in front of the Capitol in Washington DC.   We challenged those who would ignore the so-called “honor killings” of women that take place around the world to recognize the institutionalized hate behind such violence, as well as organized ideologies such as Islamic supremacism that seeks to justify such hate and violence against women and others.  Our public events have been focused thus far in Washington DC with upcoming events in Chicago and New York City.  We plan to submit non-profit paperwork for our organization soon.  In the interim, we need volunteers at our public awareness events and rallies, and we also need volunteers to help us with Internet research and work on our blog website at http://www.realcourage.org.   Please let us know if there are areas where you would be able to help us either in participating in one of our events, promoting an event on the Internet, or helping us in news research and blog article posting.  In addition, please let us know if you would like to organize fellow supporters of our universal human rights in your community, so that we can discuss actions on how we can work together in educating individuals in your local area.
