California: Moraga police suspend investigation into alleged ‘KKK’ hate crime
– Contra Costa Times reports:

– “An investigation into an alleged September 2009 hate crime incident has been suspended because of a lack of evidence, police said.”
– “The Moraga Police Department was investigating an incident where a white cross with ‘KKK’ written on it was found Sept. 7 in the driveway of a home on Wandel Drive. An interracial couple from San Francisco was spending the weekend at the home, which belongs to their relatives.”
– “Examination of the cross for fingerprints or possible handwriting recognition yielded no results, said Moraga police Lt. Jeff Price, and no witnesses have come forward.”
– “‘There’s really nothing more to investigate until we receive more information,’ Price said.”
